AARP Eye Center
TWhy is it that when you receive the daily newsletter Emailed to you you have to log in to read an article? It seems as though every website is trying to make things harder for older people to use a computer.
That is like the VA making things harder all the time for older veterans to use their websites. It seems that they are making you jump through hoops to do one thing then you have the have code numbers to do something else. It is RIDICULOUS!
...Feel your frustration @HaroldH220851 ! Can't help you with The VA. As far as the AARP Newsletter/Web Site the explanation is pretty unsavory:
One of the metrics used to assess the value of a web site is Volume of Traffic. By linking the news letter articles to the web site, AARP is simply trying to drive the numbers up...remember, even to AARP you are still, in some measure, a resource to be exploited.
I agree it is super frustrating and unnecessary! It's hard to do some of those tests to prove you are not a robot as well. I don't have the best eyesight so it's hard to read the words.
