Hello, my wife recently died and in her will she designated me as her universal heir. We bought a house together many years ago. My question is how and where I should present the will if I decide to sell my house and no longer need her signature. I really appreciate if someone could give me information on this. Thank you
@jc87014016 Please accept my deepest condolences on the news of the loss of your wife. Although AARP does not offer legal advice on individual problems or cases, I'm happy to provide the information we have available. AARP was instrumental in starting legal hotlines for seniors, but we do not have any direct affiliation with them. Legal hotlines typically provides brief advice over the phone and callers are responsible for obtaining information about any costs involved. If you are a qualifying low-income individual, legal aid is also provided. To access legal hotlines, websites and/or legal aid, go to findlegalhelp.org. The American Bar Association runs this website.

Death is the only certainty; please always consider discussing with nearest and dearest. Never leave it to chance; have written documentation and the discussions necessary. Please, for your loved ones, please...
