AARP - How do you help us get Cost of Living Increases??

As we all listen to what will be done to cut government waste, and there is a LOT of it, is anyone else getting enraged that all we get is 2.5% COLA for 2025?  For me that will amount to $50 after taxes, and with my condo fee going up, my Comcast bill going up, my utilities have gone up, of course food is up, etc.  that $50 is already spent and then some.  AARP no doubt has a LOT of lobbyists in DC, why are we being treated so poorly, us US citizens who have worked all our lives paying taxes and many of us are still working, including me.  If I did not work part time, I would not be able to enjoy any social or travel life.  These COLA's are pitiful and a slap in the face to us senior citizens.  AARP must do better in the future.

We hear you @ChefAnnL. While the adjustment is important we understand more must be done to help those that count on Social Security. Read out press release about the adjustment here https://press.aarp.org/2024-10-10-AARP-Statement-Social-Security-2025-COLA-Announcement ?cmp=SNO-LITHIUM---&socialid=15372479977;
