AARP Games Site Is Getting Better!

In the middle of May, you will experience a new AARP Games site.  The site sports an updated look and feel to help you find your favorite games, discover new ones and get to play them faster.  

Here’s what to expect:

Finding Games: Now Simpler!

• The new site’s cleaner design makes finding games simpler. The game images on category pages are now larger and easier to click through on desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.  
  
  
• A new, improved search bar helps you find your favorite games quicker and discover new games with search suggestions as you type.  

Playing Games: Now Easier!

• Game screen size is increasing!  On laptops and desktop computers, you can toggle between two different screen sizes: Standard Mode, similar to the current game screen size, and Larger Player Mode, a slightly bigger, more convenient play area. Games will automatically start in Larger Size. To toggle down, click the screen icon on the bottom right corner of the game.
  
  
• It’s also now easier to play on your mobile phone. Game area scaling on mobile devices is improved and the game will adjust better to the size of your phone’s screen.

Site Speed: Now Faster!

• Speed to access and play games is improved. You can start enjoying your games faster, while other page elements continue loading in the background.  

These changes are made possible by a new foundational technology that will enable us to bring you additional edutainment features, updates, and new games.

You have many wonderful games.  Many that I have played in the past will only let me get to the "play now" bar. It is not fun to try unsuccessfully to play these games.  I hope this is being addressed.  Thank you.

Please remove the notice of the game changes coming in May.  It cuts down the playing area for the Mahjongg Candy game that I play.

Always liked playing the "old" version of Flip Out and was very disappointed with the "new" version of the game.  While I'm sorry to see that it is expiring soon, I'm not surprised.  The tiles were so small and sometimes very complicated looking that it was extremely difficult to play the game.  Hope you come up with something comparable and better formatted for easier playing.  Thanks.

Glad for the update as I click on a game and it sits there not opening.I click on the letter changer for Spellbound and nothing happens or the game crashes.Not just Spellbound. So anticipate the updates to improve the gaming experience.

I’m glad too and hope this means that I won’t have to use a magnifier to read the clues for the crossword puzzle. I also hope there is a resource that will read and answer if I have a problem. Thank you, I really enjoy all games but my favorite is the Crossword Puzzle.

On Pyramid when clicking on cards I usually have to do it many more time then necessary, which cuts into the time frame.  It happens all of the time and clearing the cards & scoring sure do not add up right.  I too have been playing these games for over 5 years and the last change really sucked.   I hope you have a better plan this time.

Please return Crescent Solitaire to its original fomat -- being able to use the empty spaces to manipulate the cards -- there is no way to win

I have not been able to get Solitaire Spider for over a month.  Now free cell cannot be gotten.  I have done all that was advised by ur tech

Thanks for all the games, and my beef, in the great scheme of things, really is not that important.  But . . . . . the scoring in pyramid solitaire is really goofy.  Games where I get all cards off come up with scores lower than when cards are left!  And with Outspell, I find it unbelievable that someone scored over 7000.

Apparently your programmers are not up to the current technology in the real world today - and apparaently there is no customer service rep that reads these complains to TRY and resolve the issues that everyone is having - good luck AARP in getting new memberships.

The last time you improved the games, I lost my two favorite games, and several of the others changed for the worse, not the better.  This time I see you will again "expire" both my current favorites, Spellbound and FlipOut.  Guess I won't be spending much time here next month, which is a shame because I feel like your games help me stay at least a little bit sharper than I would otherwise, at 84 years. And when I play the games, I also tend to read news, articles, and discussions.

Scoring is based on streaks.  The longer the streak the more the points.

There are two levels in this game. I fear that with "improvements" the game will be one more that we seniors won't be able to play. Unless it is broken, please don't fix it, and I don't see how it is broken.

Well I am not going to be using this system anymore - not worth the aggrevation of trying to play it - besides you take away 10 games and then force hundreds of people to play the same game and you get nowhere with the scores - not worth it - I will go to the Casino chances are better of satisfaction than on here.
