What is Zoo Boom?

Zoo Boom is a match 3-style game where you can collect all sorts of animals by matching them in a grid. Play dozens of levels with new challenges, use power-ups like nets and dice to give yourself a leg up, and try to get as many stars as possible!

How do I play?

The basic gameplay for Zoo Boom is simple. In each level you’ll have a grid of animals. Wherever there are two or more of the same animal, click on one and it’ll clear them. Other animals will fall to take their place, so keep clicking!

How do I beat a level?

On the left side of the screen, you’ll see your objectives for the level. Maybe you’ll need to clear a certain number of animals, or get rid of cages, or collect coins. Above those objectives, you’ll see the maximum number of clicks you have. Finish your objectives before your clicks run out to beat the level.

How can I collect more animals?

You’ll beat the early levels by clicking on just a few animals at a time, but it soon gets much more challenging. If you’re able to collect five or more animals at once, you’ll be given a special animal (like a fly, or a badger). Click on those to remove entire lines, nearby chunks, and more!

Can I get a game over?

On the top left of the menu screen you’ll see how many hearts you have. When you reach 0 hearts, you will be unable to try the level again. However, your progress will be saved and you won’t get a game over. You can refill your hearts and try the level again by using coins to buy more, watching a video to receive another, or simply waiting. Additionally, immediately after you run out of moves you will get a pop up that allows you to receive more moves by spending coins or watching a video.

What are coins?

Coins are an in-game currency that you can use to buy power-ups and hearts.

How do I get coins?

Every time you beat a level you will receive stars that are applied to a pair of treasure chests on the main menu. When you receive enough stars, you can click the treasure chest to see what’s inside. That’s where you’ll get coins, power-ups, hearts, and more! You can also click on the top-right of the screen to watch a video to get more coins.

How do I use coins?

Click on the coins icon on the top-right of the menu screen. You’ll see a menu that allows you to spend coins for power-ups, hearts, and more.

What are power-ups?

During gameplay, on the right side of the screen you’ll see your power-ups – and how many you have available. Powerups include the net, which captures one critter; the dice, which shuffles all the animals around; the rocket, which clears a horizontal row; the drill, which clears a vertical row; and more.

What are expeditions?

You can get even more power-ups, hearts, and more! On the left side of the menu screen, after beating a certain number of levels, you’ll be able to click “expeditions” to choose an additional treasure chest. The expeditions refresh after time has passed.

Expedition extras you earn every 24hrs has ceased to give you those extras.  It shows them to you after you pick a chest but it no longer gives them to me.  It stopped working after level 650.

How do I start over? I am stuck on a level and will never advance. What do the numbers mean at the end of a level? What determines 2 stars or 3 stars?

I believe that if you clear your browser's history, the game may restart at level one.
