NEW! AARP REWARDS POWERUPS in Word Wipe!

We’re excited to introduce the addition of two brand new AARP Rewards PowerUps in the popular game Word WIpe. Now not only can AARP Rewards participants earn Rewards points for playing Word Wipe, but they can also score big. These PowerUps can double your score in any one round or you can redeem AARP Rewards points for extra time on the game clock to beat a level or even revive your game if the clock expires. You can use each PowerUp only once per game, so be strategic!

Simply login to access these new PowerUps in Word Wipe. If you’re new to AARP Rewards, you must first create or activate your account, but this is fast, easy and free. Then click the “Redeem Rewards PowerUps” tab on the gameboard and the PowerUps panel will open. (The clock pauses while the panel is open so you won’t lose any game time while you select a PowerUp.)  You can open or close the panel and select PowerUps at any time during your game, as long as you only use each only once. Give it a try today

We hope to expand these new Rewards PowerUps to more AARP games, so please let us know what you think of them. Your feedback matters. Thanks for being a part of the AARP Games community and play on!

Could you please explain more about how to use the power ups?  I've tried clicking on the double points for the round, but haven't gotten it to work.  I have been clicking on the button towards the end of the round (less than 10 seconds).  Do I have to select it at the beginning of the round?  Do I have to click on the extra time button at the beginning of the round before I know whether I need extra time?

As suspected, the double score power up works when you select it at the start of the round.  I haven't tried the extra time power up, but I suspect it works the same way and you need to select it at the start of the round.   I clear the boards about 1/3 of the time and wouldn't need the extra time, so spending points for extra time would go to waste for me 1/3 of the time.

We're thrilled to introduce two new AARP Rewards PowerUps in Word Wipe, enhancing gameplay for AARP Rewards participants. These PowerUps allow players to double their score in a round, redeem points for extra time, or revive their game if the clock expires, adding excitement and strategy to the game. Simply log in to access these PowerUps, and don't forget to share your feedback as we consider expanding them to more AARP games. Happy playing!

Most of the time when I try to use the extra time option, once I go back to the game none of the controls work anymore. I may have more time, but I can't highlight letters, wipe words, or even pause the clock. All I can do is helplessly watch as the extra 90 seconds tick away. New version is no improvement over the old version, IMHO.

Hi Denise. I’m so addicted to Word Wipe! My game freezes too, at (multiple), different times throughout the game. Its sooooooo frustrating! 🙄

So I have learned to, ‘Refresh’ the page, & then just reopen it!  You can even X out of your game or close the app entirely. It will re-open, exactly where you left off! 👍💪

Hope that helps!!

Well I'm glad they're excited to introduce their new version but I can't stand it!!  Why can't they leave this game alone?  Isn't the whole idea enjoyment?  Hey, I have an idea...  Leave the favorite game of the community alone!  No other games are bothered.

It is awful. Put the original version back. Power up interferes with the entire flow of the game. Please, and thank you.
