Canasta! That was not only our fav fam game but our neighborhood; we had canasta nights every Saturday; no matter how frigid the temps dropped to or how high the humidity, it was the neighborhood thing to do! So miss those days; wish we could do that again!

Scrabble...my family played Scrabble at the dining room table almost every night. We also played a lot of card games. That is how I got good at spelling and math at such a young age.

Our family’s 3 generations gathered last week and everyone enjoyed playing Tripoley, Corn Hole and Bowling on our old Wii console. There was also a jigsaw puzzle and darts. It really encouraged laughter and togetherness. Wish we could all get together more often than every two years.

i don't have any family now. i live alone. everyone i know is dead but when my mom was alive we loved playing monopoly. i mentioned it before when we played a game in cold weather. we enjoyed it so much we never took noticed how cold it was until the preacher of our church paid a visit. Now, what i enjoy most is online solitaire.

Before the advent of game consoles and software games on desktops, handhelds, and Internet, we gamed with boards (Life, Monopoly, Parcheesi, Risk, Scrabble), cards (bridge, hearts, Mille Bornes, pinochle, spades), dice (bunco, Yahtzee), and dominoes (42).

Double nine Mexican train dominoes. My two sisters and I live in San Diego and they always have me keep score. I usually win, and no, it is a coincidence. We used to play with our stepmother but she moved back to Iowa.

My family loves charades. The last time we were all together (Dec. 2019 😲), we played but made our own rules and without teams. A great memory was made - it was my turn to perform, and I was given the word "cash" to act out. It took over an hour for my family to get it! They were so close - kept saying "dollars" "bills" "money" etc. They finally got it when I did a sounds-like signal and then scratched my arm to indicate rash. It finally clicked for them after that. We had a big laugh about it, and it still makes me laugh when I think about it now 🤣
