What is 2 Minute Mini Crossword?

2 Minute Mini Crossword is a daily crossword game that’s perfect for crossword lovers looking for a quick fix. It’s a simple, small version of a larger crossword with easy answers and just 10 clues to solve. It’s perfect if you’re on the go or taking a quick break!

How do I start?

On the home screen, you’ll see today’s game – and puzzles from previous days. Click on any of them to get started.

How do I play?

Click on a box to select it and click it again to switch from vertical to horizontal (and back again). Whichever clue you’ve selected will be highlighted in the list on the right-hand side of the screen. Type your answer and move on to the next clue!

Do I need to solve the clues in order?

No. In fact, starting with the clues you know will start to fill in the grid, making future answers easier to figure out!

What happens if I get a clue wrong?

By default, the game doesn’t let you know if you guessed incorrectly. You’ll likely figure it out as you answer more clues and realize that something isn’t quite working. However, you can use the Check button at the top of the screen to see if your highlighted letter, word, or entire puzzle is correct. You can also toggle Autocheck on this menu to get instant feedback if you filled in a box incorrectly.

What other tools can I use to help me while playing?

Besides the Check box at the top of the screen, you can click:

• Reveal, to reveal an individual letter, a word, or the entire puzzle – whatever you currently have highlighted.
• Pencil, to draw in your letters.
• Print, to print the puzzle and fill it out with pen!

On the top left of the screen, you’ll see the settings menu, which looks like three stacked horizontal lines. Click this to access:

• Show timer, which you can toggle on and off
• Arrow keys change direction, which you can toggle on and off
• Skip over filled squares, which you can toggle on and off
• Skip to next word, which you can toggle on and off
• Increase clue size, which you can toggle on and off
• Display clues as a list, which you can toggle on and off
• Sound, which you can toggle on and off
• Clues position, which you can click to toggle between Right of Grid and Left of Grid
• Puzzle info, which gives some more information about the puzzle
• Restart, which allows you to start the puzzle from scratch
• Exit, which allows you to go back to the home screen

Do I have to finish the crossword in 2 minutes?

No! Take as long as you’d like.

Every time I leave the page or even hit "play again"  I have to start over - it doesn't keep track of the games I have played

I Just finished the puzzle in 12 seconds and received a score of 11,130. On the scoreboard, today's highest score is listed as 167,690. ALL the scores listed on the high score leader board are in the same range. Would someone please explain to me how those scores are obtained. Thank you very much, in advance, for the information.

I am wondering the same, storm door.  I never seem to get a high score, even, like you, if I finish the puzzle in record time.

Probably they play it on Arkadiums’s site then come Here, and know answers, filling them in.  Sad.

I think it adds all the scores up that you play in the same day. I played two so far and my score is over 20,000

Hello Jeff,

So according to that logic, "Marcie" (the leader for the day) played the same puzzle 25 times?  Assuming that is true, she needs to find another hobby.  Completing the puzzle once is good enough for me and I am moving onto other things.  Lol.

Gamers can change time zones in their site settings and play multiple times in some platforms.  Maybe this is true here

Hillary, are you sure you're signed in to AARP when you play?  I've done that - play game after game only to realize didn't sign in so I didn't get any score.for those games.

Same here. One day I played every puzzle available. The next day my score was 0 and none of them had been played
