I've been doing the AARP "Easy" Cryptic for a few years now and I don't understand why the clues seem to be targeting a British membership. Every puzzle contains a few clues that only a U.K. audience would be more familiar with than an American audience. Quick example: in this past Friday's puzzle, the answer "hare" was clued by the word run. To hare in the U.K. apparently means to run. Another from that day: A geographical anagram clue produced the city of Gloucester. This happens all the time. British towns, British rivers, British slang, etc... How many U.K. members of AARP are there?
