Your COVID Mask Etiquette Currently

I'm back to masking in most places again.  The one exception is our gym. I am vaccinated. How about you?

We went back to masking as soon as our local businesses did, not only in support of their workers but for our own safety. It is so disappointing that we are back in this situation so quickly due to the lack of compassion for others from the unvaccinated. How did Americans get so distrustful of science and so selfish (although I know the answer to the latter)? We recently got our boosters, haven't grown a third eye or felt little aliens or tracking devices in our blood, and now feel even more safe and protected. We will still wear our masks for the protection of others and to prevent the small chance of a breakthrough case until the majority of Americans are vaccinated. As @WebWiseWoman so wisely stated it is a sign of respect.

I'm always masked in public. We have young ones who cannot be vaxed yet in our circle, so to protect them and others, masked, perhaps forever (thinking back to flu epidemics and other health issues affecting global populations). I wrote immediately following the outbreak in US I was proud to see Americans wearing masks, as Asians have done when communicable diseases break out there.

I'm not sure why some Americans don't want to mask up. Why? Are they that vain?

Wearing a mask now to me is a sign of respect: "I don't want to pass on any germs or virus I may have picked up from the 40 people I was in contact with today."

It is also a sign I cannot trust my fellow American, as so many refused to acknowledge there was a pandemic... just saying with the unruliness and ugliness experienced in the last two + yrs, I trust few, sad to say. I so hate this feeling, but there it is.
