Wow funny story! Maybe we could just shorten the idiom to "pull yourself up." There are times when it requires every bit of inner strength to get out of bed and face life after a traggic event, or to pull together a project that no one has faith can work or is worthy of our attention. We all need some support in order to live well. Support from friends, family, mentors, books, webistes or therapists! But we must make the move to access support systems, so even that act requires "pulling ourselves up" sometimes.
