Today is known as National Dog Day. In honor of this special occasion, show us your dogs and tell us a little something about them!
I'll start... Pictured here (left to right) is Huey and Zena with mother-in-law's dog, Edward.

I'm more of a cat person, but have lived with dogs (friends etc.) all my life and bear them no ill will. If I were to adopt a dog I imagine it would have to be some sort of retriever mix from the humane society.
Before the turn of the century I lived in a very rural setting for about 5 years. I had a cat and the owners had a couple of dogs that looked a lot like the middle one in the above picture. The cat used to play Tag with the dogs...that's how he got his name...Hijynx. He never let the spelling bother him.
