Olivia and Liam still reign supreme on Social Securityโs list of parentsโ top choices.
By Andy Markowitz, AARP. Published May 09, 2025.
For the sixth consecutive year, Liam and Olivia are the most popular names for newborn American boys and girls, the Social Security Administration (SSA) reported May 9.
In fact, 2024 marked the eighth straight year for Liam at number one. Liam, an Irish derivation of William, usurped Noah as the most popular name for U.S.-born boys in 2017. Olivia, based on the Latin word for โolive tree,โ joined Liam at the top in 2019, ending a five-year run for Emma.

Well, I guess this list is for some folks but in my life, I am seeing names I cannot PRONOUNCE.
Not sure IF these names would be popular.
Lol, there is a grandma that lives across from me and has her 2-year old granddaughter EVERY Wednesday. One day I asked her what her granddaughter's name was. We are rarely outside at the same time. Anyway, after hearing it & TRYING to say it correctly - I asked Grandma IF I can call her Ms. K. ๐๐คฃ
Take care,
