EVENT NAME - AARP HomeFit Workshop: Adapting Your Home for Aging in Place!

Do you, like many Americans, want to “age in place,” remaining in your home and community as long as possible? The AARP HomeFit program provides advice on ways older adults can modify their homes to provide comfort, safety and accommodations for persons of all ages.
Some of the modifications, such as improving lighting and removing obstacles that create a risk of falling, may be quick fixes. Others, like making bathrooms more accessible, require professional help.
This presentation will provide practical tips and strategies to help you transform your residence into a lifelong home. Presenters Emily Collinson and Sophie Horiuchi-Forrester are both Certified Aging in Place Specialists, awarded by the American Home Builders Association.
