Best Valentine's Day Ever

Sixty one years ago....Friday night my date arrived on Valentine's Day, with a box of candy.  Since we, unfortunately, was expected at the wake of his great aunt, I thanked him for the candy and said I would open it later.  No, he insisted I open it then.  ENGAGEMENT RING in candy box.  We proceeded to the wake which wasn't exactly the ideal setting to show off my beautiful  surprise engagement ring!  Couldn't wait for Monday to announce to my friends at the office.  Didn't anticipate that we had a record breaking blizzard on Sunday.  It didn't keep me back from travelling into the city with my exciting news.  However, none of my friends made it to work.  Surely this was not a run-of-the-mill engagement but sixty one years later we still celebrate the day as the best Valentine"s Day.
