A New Chapter in Our Shared Story.
Valuable lessons learned from a year listening to you.
By Dr. Myechia Minter-Jordan, CEO, AARP. Published January 08, 2026.
The past year was my first as CEO, and I spent lots of time listening and learning from the remarkable people who embody our mission every day. And now we turn the page together to a new year full of energy and possibility.
AARP enters 2026 with a renewed sense of purpose as the experiences and aspirations of 125 million Americans age 50-plus guide our work. Across the country, Iโve seen our mission come to life through the stories of our members.

hmmm, doesn't seem she learned ANYTHING! So many missed opportunities to better our situations; so many missed opportunities to better our nation; and so many missed opportunities to make us all better, not the people we appear to be to the rest of the World...
Shameful!
(and btw, improving the website which has had more problems since 20-Jan-2025 "upgrade" than in the entire 16 years I've been using it, might be an important step toward something we can all appreciate; not just the canned answers those poor Customer care people have to use.!)
This is by far the worst web site I go on. When I look at the pictures and want to read a reply or post something, I click on the place it was pertaining to. I sometimes get post that are years old, playing games and going into Reward is a crap shoot.
Web sites and messge boards have been around to long for this to have the problems that are happening here.
Papaw @papawofboo , AARP stopped "updating" the Community Board around 2020 I believe. This is my 2nd time with them (returned in 2023). Back then I had joined in 2018. I remember the questions from members asking AARP Michael how to use the board with the NEW updates. As far as I can see, NO more "updates" have been done.
As far as the Rewards Site, back then it was FUN to use. But again, with NO updates, stuff wears out like we oldsters do. ๐
You and your wife have an AWESOME weekend my friend, Nicole ๐
[1/9/26] Denese @WebWiseWoman , I really feel AARP will be pulling back from the Community Board.
(1) 2026, no sign of them responding except for maybe two so far.
(2) They have NOT updated the software for the Community Board.
*** Now they are still "deleting" posts they censor.
Anyway, it is what is dear friend.
