How do I update my browser?

It’s important to keep your browsers up to date to keep them secure and compatible with new websites and web technology. Browser makers regularly release updates and patches to address security concerns and add new features. Additionally, when companies around the web, including AARP, make new websites, they typically only optimize those sites for the last several release versions of the most browsers. This is done because it would be nearly impossible to optimize for all browsers and versions, as there are so many out there!
When your browser needs an update, most will send you a notification when it’s time to do so. Some browsers have an option to update automatically when new releases come out.
