I am a history buff, my son has become one, and my wife has also been converted. In our case family takes on a differing aspect, our son helps care for me. We try to go to places that he would enjoy. His favorite is Savannah, GA. It is one of the most exciting and well kept historical locations we have found.

Nowhere, except home.  I live in the most beautiful place in the world, right outside the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park and Lakeshore on the northwest shore of Lake Michigan, in Michigan, obviously. Huge sand bluffs, blue green water, which make for the best views from up high andthe best swimming at beach level, historic sites, centennial farms, trees, trees, are stunning, walking the beach, rock hunting, mucho fossils, Petoskey stones, and agates.

PS  For those of you not familiar with the Great Lakes, fresh water is so much better to swim in than that salty stuff. the Great Lakes motto-un salted, no sharks.
