I googled NF Tours and clicked on this one: https://www.viator.com/niagara-falls-and-around/d773-ttd?pref=204
I think they are costly but if you read their agendas you could replicate it on your own. Whatever you do ENJOY the falls. They are spectacular.

There are a lot of web sites available on line to pre-order. I strongly suggest the Adventure Pass for access to most of the National Park related things to do. If you don't pre-order you can pick them up several places including at the big tourist center that sits right at the edge of the Horseshoe falls, near the main parking lot.

If you aren't interested in the pass, I do recommend getting a pass for the WEGO pus service. Traffic is bad and parking is expensive. The WEGO has bus routes that feed from all of the hotels and camp-sites to the park.

Hope this helps.

We live in the Buffalo NY area so we are close to the Falls and go there at least once a year.  Seeing the falls on either side (NY or Canada) is amazing.  The power is mesmorizing.  Every time we have a visitor from outside our area we take them to see the falls.  We like to go to the Canadian side because we like to visit Niagara-on-the-lake, a wonderful, quaint town on the Niagara river.  You can take a jet boat ride from the dock there.  The places you should include would be the Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist boat ride (I never remember the new name) Goat Island and simply walking along the side of the river, and near the brink of the falls.  Go early to avoid major crowds and a warmer day is great for the boat ride.  Love that they  provide sandals to walk the Cave of the Winds.  The Hurricane deck is always brathtaking!

How did you find out about the tour?  We are staying on the Canadian side.

We went last year, and I booked everything ahead of time, which proved to be worthwhile. Cave of the Winds and Journey Behind the Falls were awesome. Even the boat trip was a great time. Walking across the bridge from the US into Canada is a lot of fun; only costs 50 cents. We ate in the tower (the buffet restaurant), and had a perfect seat to see the ferris wheel and falls at night. Even went into the casino for a drink and $10 of gambling!!! Wonderful trip.

Just visited the falls and here are a few do's and don'ts. Visit the Falls duing the week as the crowds really get big on Fri. and Sat. Don't waste your time and money on the aquarium, it is small and not worth your time. When you board the Maid of the Mist go to the far rail,"right side of the ship" because they go straight up to the falls and you'll have the best view from that side, be prepared to get a little wetter on that side as it's like being in a hurricane for a few minutes. Do use the trolley system, you can cover allot of ground with ease. Do eat a meal at Savor, it's a culinary school/ restaurant on Old Falls Street and the food is just wonderful. They make their own wine and have an extensive wine list and the prices are in line with the quality of the food.

Took the same Niagara trip in 7/2015 and it was totally amazing. Crowds were not a problem as we took a tour that allowed as quick access and no waiting on lines. The Cave of the Winds turned out to be THE defining moment of the tour!
