Michigan in September (?)

Planning vacation/family business trip to Michigan right after Labor Day IF this COVID mess gets straightened out. Looking for advice from community members in MI.

Yes, been to Sleeping Bear dunes 3 times, but not this year. Flying in and out of Detroit Metro, renting a car, and rolling all the way to Copper Harbor and back. Visiting friends and family along the way, fueled by all the local food and drink (mostly beer!)
