Thanks. I've only been to NYC once, and mostly did walks in neighborhoods and Ellis, plus walked length of Central Park. 

   I will probably go back this fall, and want to see several parks including this and the Highline.

Thanks for post.  I clicked on link & enjoyed reading history of Riverside Park in Manhattan, along with your memories.  Loved the various photos.

 

I grew up in Jacksonville, FL, & though we visited NYC most every fall, we visited the usual tourist spots.  I don't recall ever seeing Riverside Park or even being aware that it existed, sorry to say.

In between trips it is fun to come back to New York City and visit some of the place that were important to me growing up. As a city kids the chance to get to a park was important, and we had one of the best - Riverside Park in Manhattan.
