Re: schizophrenia

Message 1 of 2

Hi @claudiaboyer8 and welcome to the online forums. I do not have a schizophrenic child. One of my older sisters, however, is a paranoid schizophrenic. Hubby, too, had a sibling that was mentally ill. Not the same dynamic, but I do know a thing or two about the disease, so if you'd like to chat, feel welcome to send me a private message.

There are support groups for loved ones of the afflicted all over the country. Google up a group near you.

I am the mother of a 34 yr old son with schizophrenia. It's isolating and I don't know where to turn for assistance. what do other people do when caring for a child with mental illness?
