Triskaidekaphobia - ( pronounced TRIS-kye-DEK-a-FOH-bee-a) extreme superstition regarding the number thirteen. The irrational fear of the number 13.

Other words of different origins meaning about the same thing -

Friggatriskaidekaphobe - the fear of Friday the 13th

Paraskavedekatriaphobe - the fear of Friday the 13th

I read in the paper this am that author Stephen King of the scarey writing fame will not stop reading a book on any page that adds up to 13 - like 94 or 139.

Now learning to spell these conditions is a challenge for me.
