Have you gotten your hearing tested?

Statistics show that hearing loss has doubled in the past 30 years.  Have you tested your hearing?  Do you have a baseline to test again for the future?  Curious how many people test their hearing as parf their health routines.

Yes and I learned I lost about 50% of my hearing so I wear hearing aids now.

I have had my hearing tested and I have moderate hearing loss. I'm trying to find an ENT that is in my insurance company network so I have no out of pocket costs.

Hello all,

Yes, I have.

This is a nice idea.

But beware that any hearing test short of a complete survey by a licensed and certified audiologist may miss critical issues, some of which, balance and orientation, you may be find surprising.

Many, if not most, insurance policies cover visits to an ENT(Ear, Nose, Throat) specialist whose offiice typically has an audiolgist on staff. The other advantage of an ENT is that they can suggest options if needed.

I have Sudden Sensorineural Hearing loss, diagnosed by one and confirmed by a second, something no hearing aid in the world will help

Yes, I am 66-years-old and have had my hearing tested for the past 6 years.  My father wore hearing aids and so does one of my sisters.

If  you go to www.nationalhearingtest.org you can take a hearing test that is free to members of AARP...once a year.  You have to have your current membership, or else it costs $8.

Havent had one in years.

Now it's getting harder to understand  what people are saying and have to turn tv up louder to hear.
