DES Info: February 14th is a day for love. It is for me but also a day great sorrow. On this day, many years ago I lost my last baby.
Today is a very very sad day for me. It was on this day, many years ago, that I lost my last baby due to an ectopic pregnancy as a result of my exposure in utero to DES
I fought hard to keep the baby. I was hospitalized for two weeks and left the hospital very happy. I was told the baby was fine and in my uterus. 6 hours later I was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. My husband was told that there was a chance I might not make it.
During surgery, I woke up and could hear them talking but could not understand what they were saying. I was so scared.
When I finally woke up, I saw my husband crying...
I will never know if it was a boy or a girl, but it was my baby! A baby I never got to hold in my arms and one I will always keep close in my heart.
