Doctor’s bedside manner

I recently sustained a pretty painful injury while bowling. I went to an orthopedic walk in clinic and they got me an appointment with an orthopedic doctor right away. I went to the appt and the doctor was young, cocky and dismissive. Lacking in tender loving care! I have to see him again in 6 weeks. Any suggestions for handling a doctor who borders on being rude? Thanks.

I would personally find another doctor who works well with older patients. Since it is going to take up to six months which means seeing him once or twice a month and with that attitude, I wouldn't be able to handle it.
