They lost due to? File corruption 12 years worth of photos, videos, songs, etc. for their users.

During a planned migration or that’s what they say.

So, I guess the question is have you checked your backups, yet.

Might be why I keep several outdated systems off line, just to allow reading backups, if an oopsie happens for planned or unplanned events.

They may be outdated but, still patched and scanned and updated daily.
