Retired Hi,

 

It not that hard going from a firestik to a cell or tablet for using your device as a remote.

 

Its just the silly issues that go along with it. Had a usb Android device on my tv, awhile back and saw the data saved and how ez it was to access.

 

I don’t like Androids because of their issues, malware, hacking, slow updates etc.

 

But, even with iOS my iPhone there could be issues. 

 

Remote control nah, fling you tube videos to my dumb tv - no problem - via WiFi.
