Lenovo Service bridge

I always updated this service bridge when prompted. Now I hear it's a way to 'recognize' one's computer & this info is shared. What does this mean, exactly ?

Should I disable this function ?

Basically it just identifies your model # and serial # to Lenovo for updating/upgrading drivers and make support easier.

If you run into problems with your machine. If your still using 7,8 or 8.1 keep it, it only shares with lenovo.

Doesnt really consume much of anything.

And yes, after long days/nights, I'd still like to swing these hunks of glass , plastic and silicon against the nearest wall Come on retirement!
