Figured this video and $500 to start would get you started on path to happiness.

 

You do need steady hand or hands, though. And he does speak English. Or not too technical.

 

Only issue with video he doesn’t show putting thermal paste on processor.

By same token if you have PC’s desktops, steady hands and a handy tech friend, you can upgrade those old boxes, still easier than a laptop.

 

Laptops parts are available to upgrade but, most get lost with all the clips, screws, etc for a painless upgrade path.

 

Last note: clean out your fans it’s spring😷. On power supplies, etc the dust bunnies are rampant this year. Mask up for a different reason😆.
