In the article https://my.aarpfoundation.org/digitalskillsready/, it says that there are In Person classes available in Arizona, along with 7 other states. I can't find any reference to find the locations that these classes are available. My 92 year old FIL just had his "antique" Windoze Vista (2007) computer crash and is now forced to go to Windoze 11. He lives in Sedona, AZ. I live in Colorado and can't give him computer lessons. He can barely turn the computer on.
Thanks

Does FIL really need the facilities of a computer? He may be better off using (like so many other people) a large format tablet: iPad or similar Android tablet. These allow the use of "Apps" (short for "Application") that are dedicated to a particular site... there are Apps for banks and brokerages, news sites (Wall Street Journal, NYT, WaPo, etc), etc, etc. You can access these sites using a browser on a computer but the "App" makes it so much easier and simpler.
20 years ago they were talking about making "internet toasters" ... devices to access the internet but as easy to use as a toaster. Well, they're here. iPads and similar devices. Many people use these in preference to a computer.
Unless FIL has a pressing need to use a computer, with dedicated programs and software, he would likely be better off with the iPad, et al.
Or look into Chromebooks. Available from many manufacturers, they use the Chrome operating system from Google (not exactly the same as the Chrome browser from Google). Simpler to use and cheaper.
I am happy to continue using my (Windows) ThinkPad because, well, that's me. But I certainly understand the desire for the "toaster" paradigm and that is suitable for the majority of people.
If FIL has a hard time running Vista and "11" then he's probably not using any software that can't be accessed on a tablet.
Good luck!
