I couldn't stand him. His humor was bullying beyond measure. I felt bad for most of the people he "roasted". What a jerk.

I don't miss anything about Don Rickles. I didn't like his brand of sarcastic, often unkind, so-called "humor". There has been SOOOO much publicity lately about his life and death, yet few journalists show any evidence of even being aware that not not everyone was a fan. Let's stop with all the Don Rickles obsession, shall we?

Did not like him at all.  Sorry he has passed but did not like him as a (not funny at all) comic.

I miss the Dean Martin roasts! And how he skewered everyone, no one was safe. He made fun if bigotry, but not everyone got that.

Nothing, absolutely nothing!!!!! Boggles my mind that anyone could find the humor in the man's ranting, insulting, offensive, behavior. I suppose he laughed all the way to the bank.

Absolutely nothing! Even as a child I would cringe hearing him berate and belittle those around him. Maybe it was just an act, but he always left me feeling embarrassed and sorry for those in his path....

I never appreciated deliberately personally offensive humor, and thought less of his celebrity friends who'd sit there laughing while he made fun of them. Ditto for Joan Rivers! They might have been saints in real life, but I never liked the comedy persona they developed for themselves!

I was never a big fan but I remember one joke that I thot was pretty funny, something like this ...... his wife was thinking ahead, preparing for the future. She asked him which cemetery he'd like to be buried in. His response, surprise me.

As much as we remember Don Rickles for his comedy chops, all you hockey pucks know he could be a fine actor (Rat Race he was the villain)!
