Too late for legal papers?

My dad is at the end of his battle with congestive heart failure as well as gel in his lungs. His wife has turned evil and refuses to assist and speaks angered to him. He's asked my son to do financial things for him but she says no, it can't be done. She also scratched out things in his will and we've told her it's not legal if it hasn't been notarized. Is it too late to change his POA or have stuff notorized? His mental capacity fluctuates.

You should definitely speak to your lawyer about this. If you have evidence of his wife meddling with his legal documents be sure to mention that too.
