How can I get in touch with other folks (either elder orphans or not) who might be interested in a sharing living arrangement.

That's a great question. I live in a rural area, less than 8000 in the entire county, and most folks find room mates through word of mouth, which works pretty well.
Googling, i found this, but no mention of rural connections: https://www.silvernest.com/
Then i found this: https://www.aarp.org/home-family/your-home/info-05-2013/older-women-roommates-house-sharing.html
But again, no mention of rural connections. Perhaps the local Area Agency on Aging knows of a list of some sort. You can find yours at www.eldercare.gov and type in your zip code.
Please share anything you find out!
