Help on how to manage independent living on a small fixed income.

I need some advice from those of you with more knowledge than me. My mother is 88 years old, in fairly good physical and mental health. She has been living with us but I am being transferred overseas and she will need to live on her own with a fixed income of $2000 a month from Social Security. I can only help her with an additional $200 per month. In California, in the greater Sacramento area, what resources may be available to help find her a place to live in a semi-assist facility. Thanks for any advice.
