To save on summer utility bills, I live in the Seattle area. Summers are my lowest electric bills. Few houses here have A/C, as sustained temps in the 90s are rare and in the mid 80s are few -- only 2 in the current 10 day forecast. Different story in eastern WA. Winter furnace though eats many dollars every second -- electric bills Nov-March are ridiculous for my 950 sf condo.
