Beware Insurance Companies

Unfortunately, I read the AARP hint regarding the need to monitor insurance company premiums a month too late.  After 35 years with Liberty Mutual, we had stopped paying attention to what they were charging us.  Over a two year period they tripled our rates so we were paying $5,000 more than other companies offered us.  When we cancelled it was 7 days after our renewal date, so they penalized us $600 rather than pro-rating.  Stay away from Liberty Mutual and remain vigilant about what you are being charged.
