AARP'S INATTENTION COULD COST SENIORS HUNDREDS A YEAR

Can you believe it?

AARP just updated one of their articles about savings at the grocery store.

It is an article that I have cited in the past for leaving out important information and AARP's update continues to leave out the important information.

The article is about discounts for seniors at grocery stores.

Their omission is as follows and maybe if I capitalize my concern, someone might pay some attention.

THE ARTICLE IS TITLED "13 SUPERMARKETS THAT GIVE SENIORS A DISCOUNT" WRITTEN BY DONNA FUSCALDO AND EDITED BY AARP EDITOR DANIEL BORTZ. THE PROBLEM IS THAT, DUE TO LACK OF RESEARCH I ASSUME, THEY HAVE LEFT OUT OF THEIR ARTICLE A HUGE GROCERY CHAIN THAT OFFERS A 5% DISCOUNT EVERY WEDNESDAY. LEAVING OUT THIS INFORMATION RESULTS IN AARP MEMBERS MISSING IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT COULD SAVE THEM HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS A YEAR.

THE GROCERY CHAIN IS PUBLIX.

PUBLIX OPERATES OVER 1,375 STORES IN 8 STATES, EMPLOYS 260,000 PEOPLE, AND IS THE LARGEST EMPLOYEE OWNED COMPANY IN THE UNITED STATES.

I know that I have made AARP aware of this omission in this very article more than once and yet, they continue to print the article and CONTINUE THE OMISSION.

@nctarheel , when I lived in Florida (moved to Virginia 2015) I luved Publix. I saw in Google News they are "suppose" to BUILD one near a very POPULAR Kroger in my neighborhood. Like with CVS & Walgreens (NOT in my Virginia location), when they 1st arrived in Florida - would build across/beside each other. NEVER understood WHY? It is like 4 gas stations on 4 corners, yes in Florida (NOT in my Virginia location). How do they expect to make money. Anyway, another awesome discussion my friend. Happy 4th tomorrow. Me and my cat are DREADING the "want to be" firework folks in my apt complex. Lol, they best NOT catch my car on fire. Idi.ts!!!

@SpringIsHereVA .........I just saw a serious advertisement on TV for NOISE CANCELLING EAR MUFFS for your pet. They are shaped like cones and you tie them on like a bonnet. The pet looks pretty **bleep** silly but if it works....who knows? Our dog, may she rest in peace, went bonkers on fireworks nights like the 4th and New Year's Eve.

@SpringIsHereVA,

I seriously don't know why AARP is so uptight. The word I used and its derivatives appear 308 times in the King James New Testament of the Bible.

@nctarheel , usually I would have asked you to send me the "naughty" word via PM [AARP Private Message] but it is ALSO "censored" - oh well, all about control & NOT fixing the issues members have been COMPLAINING about. No wonder this site is now full of complaints of which alot are ignored. Another day in paradise my friend!
