Went out for a 35 mile bike ride with other cyclists. Had my camel water pack as temperature was climbing from the 80's to the hundreds. When I came home took a nap which proved the ideal thing to do. Refreshed I proceeded to do some chores and shopping.

 Somehow it "resets" my brain, but as someone else said, too long a nap leaves you feeling groggy.

I nap 4 or 5 times a week.  Usually after exercise or an hour after eating.  I'm refreshed and generally get about 2 days work done in one day that way.

I try to take a 2 hr nap daily. I feel great after my nap.

Most mammals sleep on 6 hr. cycles.  An hour recharges the batteries for the rest of my day and doesn't interfere with my night sleep. Any other benefits are icing on the cake. Who said cake?

I would have to say that taking a nap very good for everyone. 1. It gives you a chance to start the day over, and this time do everything that you forgot to do earlier! 2. It gives me time to relax all my muscles. 3. Also, the older I get the better that cotton pickin bed feels! You know that sounds so good, I think I'll go take one.

I try to nap every day after I take my medication. Medicine works better and longer with relaxed procession!

I love naps. When I used to work remotely out of my home I would eat lunch and then take a half hour nap. I miss it terribly!

I have heard that you should only take a short nap during the day. If you sleep too long during your nap, it can throw off your sleep for the rest of the night and you won't be able to sleep properly.
