 “There’s no doubt that the intake of fluoridated water is going to interrupt basic functions of nerve cells in the brain, and this is certainly not going to be [for] the benefit of anybody……The addition of fluorides to drinking water was, and is, a mistake.” - Dr. Robert Isaacson, 2006 National Research Council committee member on Fluoride in Drinking Water (2007)

The Dr. Robert Isaason above is a different person from the Richard Isaacson in the 2018 Newsweek article, although both studied Alzheimer's Disease.

The whole issue about BACE1 and plaques has to do with oxidative stress and inflammation. Fluoride is an inflammatory drug, even in small amounts in water, that causes all sorts of chemical dysfunction in the brain. Below are just three recent scientific studies on that that suggest ending fluoridation might be a good first step.

ADULT BRAINS: First long term NaF animal study (10 weeks) using moderate levels of fluoride finds a number of histological changes including in parts of the brain associated with memory and learning, as well as chemical changes affecting brain function. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0045653518317508

ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE: Describes impact of fluoride-induced stress and inflammation in the development of Alzheimer’s disease and demonstrates the mechanism for cell death in the progressive worsening of the disease over time.

Hi, in response to the health of the brain, i think that the elimination of the following problems will be better to achieve better brain health. Using the Bible a broken spirit drieth the bones..." and "For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander".... These things let us know why the mind is in disrepair. NO PEACE OF MIND!!!

What i have written may not seem like anything to ponder but just check everyone who have any form of mental illness, the first thing is always depression, then clinical depression both as one silent killers of the mind due to a lack of peace. Ellen G White said in one of her books about our health,  that if we spend time thinking about what was, should have been and what should have been done among other carazy thoughts upon our beds at night or during our waking days it will destroy our minds. Couple this with the polluted environment, negative persons, stress and no God the ultimate break down and utter destruction is eminent.

One of the common poisons in our diet that contributes to enzyme dysfunction and plaque is fluoride, even in drinking water. It also causes plaques in hearts and increases absorbtion of lead and aluminum into brain tissue. Also increases BACE1 as do many pesticides.

Eat organic as much as you can and avoid fluoride in any form.

2015 … “fluoride and aluminium intake induces the progression of cell death which inhibit AChE activities and trigger the release of lysosomal and cell cycle proteins."

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0928468015000206

2014 ...

“Fluoride at 1 or 10 ppm in drinking water produced significant (P \ 0.05) inhibition of AChE activity in a dose dependant manner and inhibition was maximum in brain (26.39 %) and least in heart (10.23 %)… co-exposure of fluoride and chlor- pyrifos produces more pronounced inhibition of AChE than the individual exposure of either toxicant.”

@MarkFreedom  Interesting. Thanks for sharing!

OK: don't overdo it on protein intake. On it. 🙂

For anyone wanting a quick overview, here's a snippet from the Newsweek article:

"An experimental treatment completely reversed Alzheimer’s disease in mice by reducing the levels of a single enzyme in the animals' brains. The results further bolster the theory that amyloid plaques are at the root of this mysterious brain disease, and that addressing these plaques could lead to an eventual cure for Alzheimer's.

The study, published February 14 in the Journal of Experimental Medicine, found that slowly reducing levels of the enzyme BACE1 in mice as they aged either prevented or reversed the formation of amyloid plaques in the brain, a hallmark sign of Alzheimer’s disease.

Related: Alzheimer's science shocked by discovery that key protein behaves like and infection

Amyloid plaques, formed when bits of protein clump together in the brain, are found in high amounts in Alzheimer’s patients. BACE1 is a protein that naturally forms in the brain and helps produce beta-amyloid peptide, a protein also involved with brain plaque formation."
