Delta Dental Sign-In??

I enrolled my mom in the AARP/Delta Dental Plan. We’ve successfully signed in the website a number of times using his email address as the username. Now it won’t let us in. When we select “Forgot Username.”  It takes us to a series of online forms that we accurately complete, but they keep returning  “User Not Found”. Then it takes us to another form where it asks what state I’m in. It doesn’t even list Ohio. I tried calling the 866-261-4275 number on the insurance card, but they were utterly useless. Anyone have a work-around on this?  AARP needs to hold their branded “service” providers accountable, perhaps with dedicated customer service.

I received a notice to see the new benefits with Delta Dental.  I don't have an account with Delta Dental but it's not possible to log into Delta Dental from the AARP website.  When I try to set up an account with Delta Dental, it won't allow me as it doesn't recognize the user.  If I try to log in with my AARP info, it won't allow me.  Doesn't recognize the user.  Back to the impenetrable set up a Delta account/User Not Recognized Loop.  On top of that, the AARP login is such that one can't copy paste, it requires manually entered data, which for elderly people can be a problem.

Hi @PaulE765717  I understand your frustration! Online security is important to us. Although AARP isn't an insurance company, we work with insurance carriers, like Delta Dental. To log in to their website, you will create a log in that is separate from your online account at AARP. If you need help with their log in, or website, please reach out to Delta Dental directly at deltadentalins.com/aarp* or call Delta Dental at 1-866-583-2085. Thanks for being a member, and let me know if I can help with anything else!  Jodee R.

Update 10/2024: I'm the original "poster" of the original post/complaint under my sign-in for my mom's coverage. OK, so I've signed-up for Delta Dental for my wife and me. Delta/AARP offered the best dental plan among all of the others we researched. Our dentist is dropping our current insurer, MetLife Dental via Ohio Pension System, at the end of the year. I braced for having to deal with the Delta website. However, it is now sooooooo much better! It has apparently been completely redesigned, no screwy sign-in bugs, a much better designed/simple/logical/no-nonsense site. THANK YOU Delta/AARP!!

Yes, welcome to AARP. They're a nightmare to deal with. Questionable websites that don't work properly and do not retain information.

I understand the frustration of contacting Delta Dental for your dental insurance.  After a long and frustrating afternoon trying to contact Delta Dental, I did find out that if you go to DeltaDentalINS you can set up your account.  I was finally successful in setting up my account and pay on-line.  Hope this helps...good luck!

I am having the exact same problem! What is going on with them? To be honest I have always had trouble with DD, whether it was logging in, my dentist getting access to my coverage, always something! I have a dental appointment today and OF COURSE the dental office wants another copy of the card that has not changed in five years! Unfortunately I can't locate my actual card and wanted to sign in to the website to print it out. The DD website is telling me that I do not exist. Apparently my money every month exists for them though! I am about to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau!

Yes, the AARP Delta Dental login is terrible.  The problem is that there are multiple sites.  And which one is the right one?  I have found AARP to be very unresponsive to problems with Delta Dental.

Look above at consumer care there's a phone number on one and a website on the other.

My wife and I are having exactly the same problem.  Our AARP Dental is on autopayment so they are getting the money.  I can't get them to respond and get my dentist paid.  If anyone responds with a suggestion, please let us know.
