Why on earth would a reputable organization like AARP get involved with hawking a very bad company like American Home Shield to its members? Everyone knows that home warranty companies in general are dishonest and a total waste of money. I have had policies with a few of them over the years, and they consistently deny you coverage on many, many items because of sneaky wording in their contracts, and the things they DO agree to cover get contracted out to the worst (cheapest) repair companies they can find. In just the last year alone, American Home Shield has had over 6,000 complaints filed against them at the BBB. The BBB begrudgingly gives them a B rating. Make sure to read the complaints: https://www.bbb.org/us/tn/memphis/profile/home-warranty-plans/american-home-shield-0543-22001027http...
