@JaneL69

Good post.  Summarized a lot of what has been said on the forum (much of which has been dismissed by AARP), along with some of your new ideas.  Thanks for taking the time to write this up.

TO THE COMMUNITY MANAGERS!

I have read many comments about the changes coming for RFG.  There are a lot of creative ways to help point holders through this process so they don't  lose any of their points.

1.  One is to give point holders CREDIT for the points they have NOW so they can transfer this credit to the NEW point system.   It would NOT be difficult to figure out.

2.  You could have a separate section to use current points that includes magazines, gift cards for dining, stores, and travel.  Or just put them all under "daily deals!"  Having ONE card available once in a while for just points is ludicrous!

3.  Get a hold of the local people and make available gift cards that we could use for dining, shopping, and entertainment for points only.

4.  It's not fair to ask people to SPEND money just to use their points!!

5.  You keep saying to the people who write in that you have GREAT deals and MORE deals.  Where are they?  We're not stupid and we know that you are not really trying very hard to help your customers.

6.  Why in the world are you limiting the donations?  I really think your accountants, programmers, or managers are not very creative.  Why all the restrictions?

7.  It really not very fair to ask people to scurry around trying to spend their points just because you are changing the system.  Come on, get creative! You can find a way to transfer points or give credit for the points people have diligently been accruing over the years.

OK, the bottom line is that you CHOOSE NOT to make any of these changes.  It's either the lack of creativity on the part of the management or your programmers who don't know what to do and don't have enough experience.  I think it's both.  This is not rocket science folks!
