Our Dad, now 76, has been a hard-working, loyal, loving, giving person his entire life. Our Mom became ill in the mid-90's and left work on disability. My Dad didn't flinch, but kept on going and taking care of her. In 2011 we lost our Mom, but also in that 8 month span my Dad lost his best friend (our uncle), our aunt and our brother. My Dad is a rock - he hiked up his overalls and kept moving. Today he is thriving, taking care of grandkids and friends, and tinkering on mowers and small engines for people to earn pocket money. Men like my Dad are hard to find these days, and I'm proud to call him my mentor, my friend, and my hero.
