Who can participate in the AARP Games Throwback Sweepstakes?

Anyone who has a registered account on AARP.org and a legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. See Official Rules.

How do you enter the AARP Games Throwback Sweepstakes?

All you need is a registered account on AARP.org and to share your memory as instructed in the official rules to enter for your chance to win.

Log in to AARP.org by either registering for free for an AARP online account or loggining in to your AARP online account. Don’t have a registered AARP account? Get started today
There will be five (5) questions posted on the Sweepstakes Page, one (1) question for each of the five (5) Weekly Entry Periods.
To earn an entry, navigate to the “Conversation” section at the bottom of the Sweepstakes Page and post an answer to the applicable Weekly Question about your memories from the 1970s, 1980s or 1990s.
You must post a new answer to each week's theme to earn an entry for that week's prize

What are the dates for the AARP Games Throwback Sweepstakes?

The Sweepstakes begins on February 27, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") and ends on April 2, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. ET and consists of five (5) weekly entry periods as set forth below.

Week 1: (2/27-3/5) Entertainment - Share your thoughts on your favorite movies, songs, and television shows!

Week 2: (3/6-3/12) Retro Games - Share your favorite indoor, outdoor, or board games, that you used to love to play!

Week 3: (3/13-3/19) Cars - When did you learn to drive? Who helped you and what do you remember about it? What was hardest to master? What was the most challenging place you drove a stick shift?

Week 4: (3/20-3/26) First Crush - What was the first name of your first romantic crush? (Celebrities don't count, sorry!)

Week 5: (3/27-4/2) Your Favorite Retro Look - What was your favorite look -- clothes, hair, accessories, etc.

How many times can I enter the AARP Games Throwback Sweepstakes?

You may enter one (1) time during each Weekly Entry Period drawing associated with the date and time of your Comment post. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, accounts, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder. How much can you win with the AARP Games Throwback Sweepstakes?

You can win up to $5,000 in Prizes. Five (5) Grand Prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded with one (1) awarded per each weekly entry period. Prizes are non-transferable and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received during the applicable Weekly Entry Period. Prizes will be fulfilled within 8-10 weeks after promotion conclusion. How will winners be notified?

Winners will be notified by email from customercare@helloworldfulfillment.com. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder. Each winner will be posted after winner confirmation is complete. See Official Rules

Can I earn double the AARP Rewards points for playing Throwback Thursday Crossword during the sweepstakes?

Yes, you can earn double the AARP Rewards points for playing Throwback Thursday Crossword during the sweepstakes from Feb 27^th to Apr 2^nd.After that time,this game will require AARP Membership to play! Not part of AARP Rewards yet? Get started for free

Throwback Thursday is normally 200 points for non-member and 300 points for AARP members. For the double points period, it will be 400 points non-member and 600 points AARP members.
