WHY? It was so comprehensive and I liked to check it daily. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with the one on my phone which is pretty simplified and doesn't have an hourly prediction.

Went out for breakfast with a friend this AM and then on to the post office and I stopped to get a few plants for outdoors.

Good morning to everyone on the Front Porch on this first Friday of May! We have partly cloudy skies and a high temp of 59* expected. Went for my semiannual blood tests. I was surprised to see how leaved out the trees are. Some of the flowering trees are starting to open. The buds on the Magnolias are firm and ready to open. Hope everyone has a great weekend..

The Sweetbay Magnolia is a smaller Magnolia variety, reaching heights between 30 to 50 feet tall and growing to about 20 to 25 feet wide. It’s recommended for growing zones 5 through 10, so it can go a bit farther North than the Southern Magnolia. The unique feature that sets Sweetbay Magnolias apart is their multiple trunks, similar to Crape Myrtles. The leaves on this tree are glossy and dark green on top, and silvery blue on the bottom. 3. The Little Gem Magnolia is a space-saving Magnolia Tree, growing to about 15 to 20 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide. It gives you all of the perfect Magnolia qualities, like dark, glossy green leaves that are bronze on the underside and large white blooms, without taking up nearly as much space.

44* raining aka downpour, and I think there’s a nip in the air. Might even be time to start a fire, translation I’m to cheap to flip the wall thermostat.

Besides even Chell is complaining about the coolness this day.

Good afternoon, all,

Woke up to the rain and it has been non-stop. It may end before midnight. It's 55.

Went to the grocery store in the cold rain...(why? you may ask...I am retired and can go any day). But, I am such a creature of habit and my "peeps" who also shop Sundays and those who work the Sunday shift would wonder where I am. I'd hate to have the deli lady have my order ready as she sometimes does and me not show up.

So I get home and think I need to change my shirt as it rained through my hooded jacket. Found that I needed to change my jeans and sneakers, too Hard to carry an umbrella and use a cane, so something has to give! HA! I did put the umbrella over the grocery bags to get them to the car!

Coffee and dry clothes made me feel better.

Hoping for some sun tomorrow.

@Frozenoem ...Glad Chelli is OK.

@LaDolceVita ...orthodics sound like a good option to try. When I had plantar fasciitis when I was teaching, the foot doc wanted me to get the expensive ones, but I refused. Insurance would not have paid for them at that time. So I opted to wear sneakers, but he had specific guidelines for buying a supportive one and I still make sure I run them through the test when buying a new pair:

6-7 eyelets for the laces and try to bend the shoe back...toe to heel. If it bends, then it is not supportive enough. Good luck! My p.f. eventually did go away! N.
