But a plan may &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A title="medicare formulary" href="https://www.aarp.org/health/medicare-qa-tool/medicare-formulary-rights-protections/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;change its formulary&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;, which is its list of covered drugs; &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The above was in the section of the article concerning Medicare Advantage. &amp;nbsp;This can also happen in Supplemental coverage. &amp;nbsp;It did happen to me one year. &amp;nbsp;The company I was with dropped a blood pressure medication I was taking, costing about $35/month and recommended a substitute that was over $1k/month. &amp;nbsp;The original was a pill with two combined medicines. &amp;nbsp;I ended up getting separate pills for each medicine that was covered, and the total cost to me per month was $0.00. &amp;nbsp;Pays to check even if the formulary doesn't&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;change!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
