    <description>&lt;P&gt;The pandemic is over /has been over and those bonus subsidies had an expiration date - at the end of 2025. &amp;nbsp;This is not new information. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No wonder, the country cannot get a handle on the debt - when Congress gives something to help people out during a particular time of need - in this case, the public health emergency (PHE), people expect them to go on forever - They do not. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 passed these “enhanced subsidies” &amp;nbsp;and were later extended through 2025 by President Biden's Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Congress is now talking about them in the shadow of keeping the government open - I bet people will get their way and they maybe extended - but to when - it will not be any different when the next expiration date rolls around, if they aren’t extended forever. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;We are definitely a gimme - gimme - gimme society. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
