topic United Healthcare Medigap policy Availablity for NON-AARP members in Medicare & Insurance

I do believe that there are UHC Medigap policies that are outside of the ones that are endorsed by AARP - wonder what the difference is in coverage and premiums. Of course the [whatever] plan coverage would be the exact same since that part if under Federal law but are there other differences? Wonder about the premiums. Just thinking out loud - I may try to find out - Anybody interested in the results?

I checked medicare.gov to see all the supplements (A through N) available in my zip code in Texas, and every time UnitedHealthcare is listed, it's listed as "AARP-UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company." So it appears for me, anyway, there aren't any non-AARP UnitedHealthcare supplements available.

Where are you getting wind of non-AARP UHC plans?

Yea, they have (2) different subsidiary company names that write Medigap plans - they service different states but both of them are connected to the AARP endorsement that I could find.

I just had somebody ask me about it and I knew insurance companies have different subsidiaries so I was just curious -

Wonder what would happen if somebody called and wanted to buy one and wasn’t a member (in the 1st year only) ?
