Think that is the one I have. What surprised me is how many judges are voted on each week.

Of course, it is real easy to know how they voted in today world. If your congress is Rep. he voted for any bill that was sponsored by a Republican. On the other side he voted against any bill sponsored by a Dem.

Wonder if they are going to take this thread of post down????

FROM THE ARTICLE.

Veterans and grandparents contend with balancing bills and staying fed as SNAP benefits remain suspended.

By Molly Snow, AARP. Published November 12, 2025.

A grandfather of six. A U.S. Army veteran.

Retirees who’ve spent a lifetime working and now struggle to pay competing bills.

These are just some of the millions of older adults affected by the disruptions to federal food aid because of the ongoing government shutdown. In November, it became the longest in history.

USE LINK BELOW TO READ THE ARTICLE.

https://www.aarp.org/advocacy/older-adults-missed-food-aid/

IAs much as I believe AARP tries to advocate for those of us over 50, they are failing on one big count - letting their member know exactly how their Congressional representatives are voting on issues that are critical for seniors. They don't have to be political, just factual. On the website and social media sites, there should be a section that lists legislation and who voted yay or nay on each relevant issue. A short descriptive of the Bill followed by a data base of who voted for it. AARP says "Congress" but we should all know exactly who is voting for what.

I urge anyone who wants to know how their officials voted in this session or past to go to https://www.congress.gov/roll-call-votes

This will not only give you the bills both the House and Senate voted on, but gives a description of the bills, who sponsored it, as well as who voted yay or nay. It can be filtered by party, state, if the bill passed, etc.

I am aware of places to see Bills and votes, but what I am suggesting is that AARP list bills directly related to seniors like Social Security, Medicare, Taxes, etc or even a link under their articles to make it easier. Have you ever gone to the Congressional sites? It takes forever to find the names and Bill numbers. Let's make it easier for all of us.

I know what you’re saying, but don’t think this site would ever do that, while I do think it’s a great idea, and would be very beneficial.

I use the Government site to look up bills and see who voted all the time, and like with most things, tinkering around helps me learn how to navigate, using search tools that are there, and hyperlinks.
